NUG President: Victory Dependent on Unity With EAOs

The National Unity Government (NUG) president has stated that achieving victory against the Military Council hinges on active cooperation with the ethnic armed organisations (EAOs).
“One of the essential aspects is forming an alliance with the EAOs. Based on the federal democratic charter, we have successfully formed alliances with EAOs during this Spring Revolution. It’s crucial to enhance our relationship with these alliance organisations. From a military perspective, victory relies on forging alliances with other armed organisations,” stated Duwa Lashi La during a NUG meeting on 22 August.
“The people’s revolution and (ethnic) armed struggles should not be separate…We need to recognize that these elements are aligned,” he told NMG.
While NUG has established alliances with some of the nation’s EAOs for military and political endeavours, the government-in-exile has not publicly disclosed this information. Certain EAOs, however, have declared their alliances with NUG.
Many of the People’s Defense Forces were established by NUG to combat the military dictatorship nationwide, and they have formed their own alliances with long-standing EAOs and undergone training.
