Three Militia Members Killed in Northern Shan State Shootout
Shots were allegedly fired by plain clothed gunmen.

Three members of People’s Militia Forces (PMFs) were killed and two more were wounded after shots were fired near the Shan-China border town of Muse on Sunday, according to local sources.
“Three people were killed and two people got injuries. The dead bodies were transferred to Muse hospital, and then cremated,” U Thaung Tun, chairman of Garuna Social Association (Muse), told NMG.
One of the injured individuals, who endured a gunshot injury to his thigh, is still receiving treatment. The other received a minor injury.
The shooting occurs at Namkham Myoma PMF’s base camp in Kyin San Kyawt village aound 10 miles from Muse town. According to locals, the incident occurred took place between Muse town and the 105 miles trading zone.
“The shooting at around 9 p.m on December 2. Three armed men in civilian clothes came to shoot at the PMF’s entrance gate,” a local said.
The shooting took place near China-Burma border gate, where vegetables and fruits are traded between China and Burma. “The shooting occured in our area. We are living under fear. Therefore, we want to demand armed organizations to sign ceasefire agreement. We want peace rapidly to bed restore in our country,” a local said.
